Jana is an accomplished speaker. She can speak to your group on a variety of subjects. She holds a Masters in Education and can talk about ESL/SEI issues and how to incorporate writing into a fabulous ESL program. As a former Refugee Resettlement Counselor, Jana can speak about the joys of working with refugees. As a former teenage volunteer, she is the quintessential poster child for teenage volunteerism. Jana has spoken about diversity at a variety of Diversity Days at many schools based on her book Weeping Under This Same Moon. She has been keynote speaker to children, teens and counselors affected by terrorism and war.
In addition, Jana has spoken at many churches and synagogues on the spiritual side of writing ~ Writing as a Spiritual Practice.
She is on staff at IS183 Art School in Stockbridge, MA and teaches writing workshops both there and at Arrowhead; Herman Melville’s home in the Berkshires where she is Writer-In-Residence. Jana can teach memoir, journaling, fiction, historical fiction, essays, etc. And, she loves to visit book clubs, either in person or virtually and will happily speak at your book club meeting.
Jana Laiz is an award-winning publisher and can speak on those topics. From self-starter to award-winning publisher with seven books to her credit, several award-winners and two optioned for film, Jana has much to share on this very hot topic.
